MILWAUKEE (Mar. 8, 2017) – Cousins Subs® and the Milwaukee Bucks joined efforts for the second consecutive year to award a once-in-a-lifetime fan experience to the Cousins ‘Super Sub’ grand prize winner.
Throughout January, fans were encouraged to visit bucks.com/supersub to nominate the Cousins ‘Super Sub’ (Bucks player) they thought was making the biggest impact off the bench. Fans were able to channel their inner Bucks pride through a month of head-to-head voting, and selected Bucks’ guard, Malcolm Brogdon, as the best off the bench performer.
In addition to Malcolm Brogdon being selected as the ‘Super Sub’ player, Camille Davis of Milwaukee, Wis. received the grand prize of two lower-level tickets to the Bucks vs. Heat game, free Cousins Subs for a year and a once-in-a-lifetime ‘Eat and Greet’ with Malcolm Brogdon.
“Being so close to the action, seeing my team play, receiving the opportunity to meet Brogdon – and of course the subs – were among my favorite parts of being selected as the ‘Super Sub’ grand prize winner,” said Davis. “It’s something I’ll always remember, and still doesn’t feel real.”
Every fan who voted in ‘Super Sub” scored an exclusive Cousins Subs offer to satisfy their local cravings. Five runner-up winners were also selected to receive two tickets to a select Bucks game along with a $100 Cousins Subs gift card.

Social media remained a key component in this promotion. The Milwaukee Bucks used their social channels to share unique and engaging material, such as “substitute” themed trivia contests on Twitter, drawing contests on Snapchat and game highlights on Facebook. Across these channels, the Milwaukee Bucks posted about the ‘Super Sub’ sweepstakes 79 times and reached a total of 2,055,449 fans during January.
Throughout the duration of the campaign, Cousins Subs and the Milwaukee Bucks engaged in continuous, playful discussion that directed fans to the ‘Super Sub’ website, resulting in nearly 9,000 page views and 2,580 entries.
