We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Starr Children’s Fund Punt Pass Kick Competition – a fundraiser to support pediatric cancer. The ultimate football challenge gets kids active about bettering the lives of other kids by punting, passing and kicking a football as far as possible to receive fun prizes and raise money for cancer care and research. In just two years the event has raised $100,000.
From 2015 – 2017, we hosted Combos For A Cure – our month of giving fundraiser to benefit the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Throughout September, a percentage of combo meal sales at Wisconsin-based restaurants supported cancer research and care for those diagnosed with cancer throughout the state. Through the tremendous support of the local community, Combos For A Cure raised a total of $150,000.
Our donation of $300,000 funds locally-led, pediatric cancer care and research to give children better outcomes in the fight against cancer.

Our partnership with the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation began in June 2015 with our Make It Better Day initiative, in which we distributed more than 700 free lunches to cancer patients and caregivers at Aurora Cancer Care Centers and Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics throughout Wisconsin.
We chose the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation as the beneficiary of Combos For A Cure and to sponsor the Starr Children’s Fund Punt Pass Kick Competition because funding is directly allocated to support locally-led, patient-centered advancements in cancer research and compassionate care throughout Wisconsin.
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation was established in 1971, in memory of five-time National Football League championship Green Bay Packers Coach, Vince Lombardi. His spirit, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence touched countless lives, and on September 3, 1970, he lost a battle to colon cancer, dying at only 57. In his honor, the Foundation is committed to raising funds for advancements in cancer research and compassionate care. In 2017, Bart & Cherry Starr introduced the Starr Children's Fund, which is dedicated to raising funds to support pediatric cancer research and treatments. Their vision is clear—to see children cancer free so that everyone’s future benefits.
